The dust has settled on a wild Week 1 of the NFL season, and fantasy managers everywhere are either celebrating a decisive victory or scrambling to fix a broken lineup. No matter where you stand, Week 2 is a new opportunity to make smart moves. Here's a breakdown of who to start and who to sit to get a leg up on your competition.

Start 'Em

  • J.K. Dobbins (RB, Los Angeles Chargers): Dobbins had a quiet Week 1, but he's facing a Kansas City Chiefs defense that has recently been vulnerable to the run. With the Chargers' new offense under Jim Harbaugh focusing on a punishing ground game, Dobbins is poised for a breakout performance. He's also a great pass-catcher, giving him a safe floor and a high ceiling.

  • Rome Odunze (WR, Chicago Bears): Despite a disappointing rookie season, Odunze looks like a completely different player in his second year. With the Bears' revamped offense and improved offensive line, he's becoming a go-to target for Caleb Williams. He faces a favorable matchup against the Minnesota Vikings who are dealing with some injuries in their secondary. He's a must-start, especially in PPR leagues.

  • Khalil Shakir (WR, Buffalo Bills): Shakir has been flying under the radar, but he's Josh Allen’s most trusted receiver, especially with the injury to Keon Coleman. Shakir is a master in the slot, where he creates separation and has a high catch rate. He's a safe play with a high floor and is poised to deliver a strong performance against the Baltimore Ravens.

Sit 'Em

  • Christian Watson (WR, Green Bay Packers): Watson is dealing with a knee injury that kept him out of Week 1 and his status for Week 2 is questionable at best. With the Green Bay Packers traveling to play the Detroit Lions, a tough divisional matchup, it's best to keep him on your bench. Don't risk a goose egg in your lineup.

  • Tua Tagovailoa (QB, Miami Dolphins): Tua had a tough Week 1 and is now facing a strong Indianapolis Colts defense. He has a lot of talent, but the Dolphins' offense has struggled to win against good teams and the Colts' defense is one of the most underrated units in the league. There are better streaming options available, so you should consider sitting him for a more reliable quarterback.

  • Najee Harris (RB, Los Angeles Chargers): Harris is an excellent running back, but the Chargers' backfield is crowded with talent. He's dealing with a minor injury and the team has another talented running back in J.K. Dobbins. Until the backfield usage becomes clearer, you can't be sure of what you'll get from Harris on a week-to-week basis. It's best to bench him until he earns a bigger role.
